On September first, we traveled to Joliet. As we went through the downtown area, we spotted this park with the great outside clock. |
We arrived at the downtown Joliet Route 66 Museum. We parked the car in front. |

Inside was this very early motor buggy. There are only a couple of these left and this is the only one fully restored. |
We met Randy and Nancy from Des Moines, Iowa who were taking a week off before they had to get back to school and work. Randy is a few years from retiring and Nancy is a nurse. They actually purchased a Kit Cat Klock. All the best. |

O.K., car people, what model is this? You're right! A 1957 Chevy. This is a neat chair that really captures the feel and flair of the 50's. The museum has several chairs of this type. |
On the wall was this neat way of displaying the Route 66 path. |

When you drive to the museum, you may pass the Amtrack depot. On the walls are these wonderful murals showing the history of train travel. This is just one of about six. |
You can't leave Joliet without a little time with the Blues Brothers. You can have your picture taken with them in the museum. |

| The Great All-American Road Show is a family values experience. We believe that integrity, hardwork, a strong moral compass and basic self-discipline are values that have made and will keep this country great. As we travel across this great land, it is our intention to let communities and individuals enjoy the freedoms we hold dear. We encourage everyone to do all things in moderation and exhibit a general concern for the welfare of others. | ![]() |
